Many companies will not take the time to properly diagnose the problems you are having with your water heater. As with the last few posts these tips are not necessary for tank-less, or instant water heaters.

Tuolumne County water heater problem #1

Noises in the water heater. Some people will describe the noises coming from their water heater as a “snap”, “pop”, “rumble”,or a “water hammer”. All of these sounds have the same cause, and that is the water in between the sediment in your water heater gets too hot and turns to steam. The water expands when turning to steam and causes a noisy vibration. Sediment buildup in your water heater lower the heat transfer rate between the heat source, and the water so the heating element, or burner has to get hotter to raise the temperature in your water heater. This causes the water at the very bottom of the water heater to overheat. This can be fixed by reading the previous post from sonora plumbing service Optimized Plumbing & Piping, and following the instructions.

Tuolumne County water heater problem #2

Lower heat element burnout in an electric water heater. Again sediment buildup in your water heater could be the cause. Heating elements can burn out for other reasons but if it’s a re occurring problem, or even the first time you may want to check for sediment buildup inside of your water heater. The sediment can build up enough to insulate your heating element from heating the water properly. This causes the heating element to compensate by staying on longer, and possibly overheating, and burning out.
